When I started training with Nick I had been working out seriously for a little over a year. Through several life changes I had motivated myself to start eating right and exercising. I had reached a plateau that I could not get past on my own. I had never worked out with a personal trainer before and was a little apprehensive about it. Visible images of “The Biggest Loser” flew through my head, which led me to feel no need for that kind of motivation. I was looking for someone to teach me how to accomplish my goals, NOT force me to do them.

After speaking to several trainers, I settled on Nick and could not be happier!

Since I had never worked with a trainer, nor did I follow any kind of fitness program at that time, Nick ran me through several assessments in order to tailor a program that was right for me. During this time, we spoke about and agreed upon obtainable goals. As my strength and endurance quickly advanced,  Nick would then create a completely different program design, while educating me entirely to what the program was designed to achieve .  Each one more challenging than the last. He introduced me to exercise philosophies and techniques that I personally would have never been exposed to without his precise tutelage.

There are many words to describe Nick: knowledgeable, professional, motivational, and articulate to name some. His best characteristic is his openness. Several times throughout our workouts, there where aspects that were not working for me. Nick would then tweak my program in a way that allowed me to reach my goals much quicker and efficiently.

Nick was the right personal trainer for me during this past year. I learned how to use my body correctly to avoid injuries; something I had experienced when working out in the past. My posture and confidence improved and, of course, I feel better because I look better. I liked how he always mixed up my routine, not only so I didn’t get bored, but also to fatigue different muscles. His after-workout massages and stretches were the best part. Not only did they help relieve soreness from the workout, but also addressed back, hip and leg problems caused by too many hours sitting in front of a computer.

Nick definitely puts the “personal” in personal trainer.  He makes it his mission not only to create an amazing workout to transform his clients physically, but also mentally.  Nick is extremely creative with his time with you–he tends to your personal goals with a mixture of standard exercises and exercises that you would never see in a standard workout book.  Because of this, I always left feeling that I had really accomplished a lot and was getting special treatment.  Additionally, Nick pushes you to perform beyond your limits, showing what the phrase “mind over matter” really means.

Besides being a joy to work with, Nick watched closely. He readily corrected technique errors and explained the best way to train effectively. “I lead a very chaotic lifestyle, working in local politics while having a part time job is not only time consuming, but also draining. I enjoy working out and being fit, but it is just so hard to do. One day while I was at work I decided enough is enough! Nick always made me feel good and always challenged me while exceeding to new heights. He diversified my base of knowledge in fitness, nutrition and supplementation. When I met him I was barely 165lbs with some definition in my overall physique, but now I am a lean 180lbs with incredible definition, and for the first time ever I can see my abs like never before!!

 

Currently, I work too far away to see Nick on a regular basis, although I still carry the lessons and values he’s taught me everyday that I workout and every time I am about to make a meal decision. I still text him with questions and he still answers them the same way he always did; efficiently, effectively, and accurately.”
